8th Grade PSAT Registration is Open Now Through September 13

PSAT & the SC Junior Scholars Program

Each October, Dorchester Two offers 8th grade students an opportunity to take the PSAT assessment offered by College Board. The test will be held Wednesday, October 21st this year. This test provides students and parents with important information regarding college readiness and academic progress. The SC Junior Scholars Program also uses PSAT results to qualify students.

If you are interested in registering your student to take the PSAT, you should complete the eCollect form currently available in your PowerSchool Parent Portal and pay the $18 assessment fee associated with the PSAT via your school. This payment can be completed in the school's front office. The window to sign up for the PSAT will close mid-September. If no eCollect form/payment is submitted, the school will assume that your student will NOT participate in this optional assessment.

Payment for the assessment must be received in order to complete the registration process.

Note to students with IEPs, 504s, ILAPs, or health plans: If you plan to utilize an allowable testing accommodation on the PSAT, accommodations must be pre-approved by College Board. In order for your school to apply for allowable accommodations on your behalf, you will need to sign a consent form. It is requested that these accommodation request consent forms be completed and returned to school by by Monday, August 17th, allowing enough time to ensure College Board can review the request.
