Megan Profit Appointed New Principal of Alston Middle School

Mrs. Profit brings with her 16 years of experience in education, including eight years in administrative leadership. She has served as Assistant Principal at both DuBose Middle School and Fort Dorchester High School since 2017. Prior to entering administration, she taught math and science at River Oaks Middle School and Rollings Middle School of the Arts.

A graduate of the College of Charleston, Mrs. Profit earned her Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education in 2009 and later obtained her Master of Education in Secondary School Administration from Charleston Southern University in 2014.

“I am truly honored to join the Alston Middle School community!” said Mrs. Profit. “I look forward to leading this historic school into its next chapter—building on its legacy and working together to create an even brighter future for our students. I’m eager to build strong, lasting relationships with the families, staff, and incredible students who make Alston so special.”
