Providing for the Well-Being of the Whole Child
Who provides behavior/emotional wellness support in DD2 Schools?
There are various individuals in our schools that provide support with behavior regulation and emotional wellness. Each of these roles has a unique skill set to address the academic, career and behavior/personal needs of P-12 students. Although each provider group has a specialized role, overlapping of services will occur to support the overall well-being of the whole child. In collaboration with the curriculum and instruction department, these behavior/emotional wellness support providers ensure access to their supports so that all students are available for learning. This multidisciplinary team develops research-based, data-driven affective education to support student progress and accountability. Additional services may include, but are not limited to staff professional development, crisis intervention, parent education, and alternative programming.
