Bob King, Assistant Principal 

Mr. King is originally from Kansas, the Sunflower State.  He earned a B.A. from Benedictine College and an M.S. from Kansas State University. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa. He taught Junior High Social Studies and coached football, baseball and track for 6 years.  He has been a high school principal, an assistant superintendent, and a superintendent.  Mr. King has been with Dorchester District 2 since 2004, and he joined the Alston staff as Assistant Principal in 2007.  He and his wife Carole have two grown children and a French Bulldog.  Mr. King enjoys weightlifting, scuba diving, gardening, canoeing, rafting, and archaeology.  E-mail Mr. King at rking@dorchester2.k12.sc.us or call her at 873-3890.
